I’m Steve Wastell and I’m honoured to be your candidate for Neston.
Four years ago I retired from a 40 year career as a pharmacist and returned to the town where I grew up. The first thing you notice when you retire is that you have a lot of spare time and I decided to give something back to the community.
Over recent years, I’ve been involved with groups from across our community, served on our Town Council, and now I’m standing to be the next Councillor for the Neston ward.
Why do I want to be your Councillor?
I want to help make sure we live in a town that is safe to walk in, has pleasant green spaces, good facilities for sport and leisure, and where there are successful businesses and a strong sense of community.
From personal experience, I am well aware of the issues affecting local residents – such as parking difficulties, access to services and anti-social behaviour. If elected I promise to work hard to address these issues.
Finally, we need a Councillor who will do all they can to make sure we receive our fair share of investment from the Council - because being on the edge of the county often means we get overlooked.
That’s why I’m standing to be your Councillor in Neston.
